John Coffey, guitar player and vocalist, has been playing music for thirty-seven years. He has been a member of several well known Michigan-based bands. He got his start with the Livingston County Grass in 1975, and later with Dana Cupp's Detroit Bluegrass Band. He has also worked with Gary Adams and Blue Velvet. It's likely you've seen John singing somewhere if you've been listening to bluegrass in Michigan.
